Rescue the child buried under rocks and soil

According to information from Lam Dong Provincial Police, on the evening of November 19, at alley 108 Hung Vuong Street, Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province, an 8-year-old girl was buried in the bathroom by many rocks and soil from the slope. After 30 minutes of emergency rescue, Lam Dong Provincial Police were able to bring the victim out safely.

Earlier, at around 6:30 p.m. the same day, a mass of rock and soil from the slope collapsed onto the back of the house. At that time, the family of four was in the front, while the 8-year-old girl was near the restroom.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Lam Dong Province deployed 2 fire trucks, 1 troop transport vehicle, 1 ambulance with 20 officers and soldiers and specialized rescue vehicles to the scene to urgently search and rescue.

The situation was "hanging by a thread", the rock mass was still moving, with the risk of collapsing further into the house at any moment. If they dug directly from behind, the whole house would collapse and crush the victim. After a quick consultation, the rescue team decided to rescue from the right side of the house, using an excavator to carefully remove some of the soil to reduce the pressure on the load-bearing wall, while another team chiseled the wall and dug by hand to create breathing space for the girl. Based on the initial assessment, the girl had signs of a broken leg.

After 7:00 p.m., the girl was rescued from the rubble and transferred to Lam Dong General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Xuan Truong Ward Police - Da Lat and other functional forces are urgently checking the entire area to urgently evacuate households in areas at risk of landslides.
