On October 24, 2024, in Khanh Hoa, Brigade 172 coordinated with Brigade 162 to organize a volleyball exchange to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the establishment of Naval Region 3 and Region 4 (October 26, 1975 - October 26, 2024) and the 63rd anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Sea Trail (October 23, 1961 - October 23, 2024).
