Navy Region 3 proactively helps people prevent and fight storm No. 10

On September 26 and 27, in response to the complicated developments of storm No. 10, the Naval Region 3 Command from Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, Da Nang, and Gia Lai provinces has been proactively and synchronously deploying drastic measures to prevent and combat natural disasters, storms and floods for the military and people in the area.

To promptly respond to the complicated developments of storm No. 10, the Naval Region 3 Command has directed agencies and units to continuously monitor and grasp the developments of the storm; strictly maintain forces and means on duty, ready to handle situations; review and promptly adjust plans for natural disaster prevention, control, rescue and relief; organize reinforcement, tie down houses, warehouses, stations, factories, power grids, trim tree branches, clear sewers, and check lightning protection systems.

The unit moves supplies and equipment to higher ground to avoid flooding and waterlogging; prepares plans to evacuate forces and vehicles away from dangerous areas; ensures adequate supplies for ships going to storm shelters and radar stations stationed in high mountains and remote islands.

At the same time, the Naval Region 3 Command has requested units to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and functional forces in the stationed areas to be ready to deploy plans to support people's evacuation, rescue, and overcome the consequences of storms and floods when situations arise.
