Close-up of Honda Vario 160 Repsol priced at over 100 million in Vietnam

A private motorbike dealer in Ho Chi Minh City recently offered a special version of the Honda Vario 160 called the new Honda Vario 160 Repsol Edition.

Accordingly, this special Honda Vario 160 Repsol version is only produced in a limited quantity of about 2,000 units in Malaysia and is being imported to Vietnam with an expected price of more than 100 million VND, nearly double the standard version. In Malaysia, this model costs RM10,498 (equivalent to about 62.3 million VND).

The Honda Vario 160 Repsol Edition scooter is 1,929mm long, 695mm wide and 1,088mm high. It weighs 119kg, has a seat height of 778mm and a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 liters. As the name suggests, the Honda Vario 160 Repsol Edition has a special design with a body kit inspired by the Repsol Honda racing team in the MotoGP race.

The bike comes in orange, red and white, with 14-inch orange rims. The bike also comes with tubeless tires measuring 100/80 at the front and 120/70 at the rear.

Although the design and color are different, the equipment of this model has not changed compared to the regular version currently sold in Vietnam. Specifically, the car has: LED lights, Smartkey, LCD screen, USB-A charging port and 18-liter storage compartment.

In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with front and rear disc brakes, of which the front brake has ABS anti-lock. Powering the Honda Vario 160 Repsol Edition is a 157cc single-cylinder engine, producing a maximum capacity of 15.3 horsepower and 13.8Nm of torque, providing powerful performance.

However, it should be noted that privately imported vehicles will not be covered by a genuine warranty and after-sales benefits will depend on the agreement between the customer and the dealer.

For customers who own a standard Honda Vario 160 and want to "transform" their vehicle into a Repsol Edition, they can choose to apply Repsol decals to the entire vehicle body at a price ranging from 1 - 1.5 million VND, depending on the material and construction facility.

In addition, the cost of repainting the rim will be around 5 - 10 million VND. However, the quality and accuracy of these details will depend on the skills of the construction unit and the cost. This is a cost-effective solution compared to buying the special version of Honda Vario 160 Repsol for more than 100 million VND .
