On the afternoon of June 21, the Times of Israel newspaper cited flight tracking data as saying that two US B-2 bombers took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, heading to the US military base on Guam island.
The two aircraft have attracted media attention in recent days due to their unique ability to carry America's heaviest bomb - the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, which experts say could be used to destroy Iran's Fordo underground nuclear facility.

Previously, according to The Washington Post, the US could mobilize B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, flying from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
B-2 bombers flew nonstop from Missouri to the Middle East and back, refueling in the air during flights lasting more than 30 hours.
An attack could also be launched from the Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia on an atoll in the Indian Ocean owned by Britain and jointly administered by the US and British navies.
Analysts say B-2 bombers could reach Iran from Diego Garcia in five to six hours. The US military has used the atoll to launch strikes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Earlier this week, defense officials told the US Naval Institute that the Pentagon was rerouting the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier to the Middle East, making it the second US aircraft carrier in the region alongside the USS Carl Vinson.
