According to many recorded documents, since 1653 during the Nguyen Dynasty, Ha Lien village (Ha Lien residential group) was one of the 7 villages that formed Ninh Ha ward today. After more than 370 years, this village is still "adrift" in the middle of Nha Phu lagoon.

Ha Lien village is about 30 km north of Nha Trang city and more than 6 km southeast of Ninh Hoa town center. According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat - Chairman of Ninh Ha ward People's Committee, the village currently has about 2 hectares of residential land with 330 households and about 1,200 people living there.

For generations, villagers have lived mainly by aquaculture and fishing.

According to villagers, seafood, especially shrimp and crab in Nha Phu lagoon, has a very unique sweet taste compared to other regions, so many seafood restaurants order it all year round.

The interesting thing about Ha Lien village is that there is only one concrete road leading to the village gate.

Because the village is surrounded by water, the main means of transportation for villagers is mainly by boat.

The village still has many traditional tiled houses and very few high-rise buildings.

The roads in the village are not too wide and the houses are close together. The villagers all know each other and have been close for many generations.

Currently, many businesses are researching to develop an eco-tourism model in Ha Lien village. This model is suitable for groups of visitors who like to explore the lives of local people and experience things like rowing a boat to Nha Phu lagoon to catch shrimp, crabs, fish, etc.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhat, Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee is currently promoting tourism development in Nha Phu lagoon area, including Ha Lien village. Because this is a unique village in terms of location, possessing many beautiful landscapes, diverse marine ecosystems...
