The extended Le Quang Dao Street is one of the key projects of Hanoi City, which started construction in the first quarter of 2023 and is expected to open to traffic in April 2024. Currently, the construction items are being accelerated.

The Investment Project to build the extended Le Quang Dao road was approved by the Hanoi People's Council in Resolution No. 23/NQ-HDND dated September 23, 2021 with a total investment capital of more than 740 billion VND.

The extended Le Quang Dao Street is over 2.6 km long, with a cross-section of 40 m. The starting point connects with Le Quang Dao Street and Thang Long Avenue (in Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District). The end point is at the intersection with Le Trong Tan Street (Ha Dong District).

According to Dan Viet reporters on the afternoon of March 15, the Le Quang Dao extended road project is progressing quite positively.

A bridge over the Nhue River is being built on the route. The construction of the bridge piers has been basically completed.

Currently, after more than 1 year of construction, the section from the intersection of Thang Long Avenue to Dai Linh Street (Me Tri Ward) has the best construction progress, and the first layer of asphalt has been paved.

Some items such as paving sidewalks, filling soil to separate and plant trees are being urgently implemented.

The typical road cross-section is 40 m, the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110 m long) has a cross-section width of 100 m.

However, the route passing through Trung Van and Dai Mo wards is in the process of clearing some power projects blocking the road, leveling the ground, and constructing the roadbed.

According to the design, the route will have inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60km/h.

This is an important route connecting many large urban areas in the West of Hanoi such as: Vinhomes Smart City, Duong Noi, Louis City, FLC Premier...
