More than 174,500 billion VND needed to invest in the traffic system connecting the highway

According to the review and synthesis results, there are 134 local investment proposals, with a total capital demand of VND 174,543 billion; of which, there are 53 proposals related to intersections, with a demand of more than VND 33,000 billion; 81 proposals related to connecting routes, with a demand of more than VND 141,500 billion.

Regarding the capital demand for completing connecting routes, about 16,554 billion VND has been allocated, and about 124,960 billion VND needs to be allocated additionally (central budget 31,734 billion VND, local budget 93,226 billion VND).

In the context of difficult state capital sources, balancing more than VND 174,500 billion of the budget to invest in completing intersections and connecting routes is difficult to achieve. The Ministry of Transport recommends that the Government leaders, for intersections and connecting routes with urgent needs, need to promptly arrange for investment in the 2021-2025 period, assign the Ministry of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to study and advise on balancing about VND 4,352 billion from the annual increase in central budget revenue, the reserve fund for the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period,...
