It is necessary to continue to innovate propaganda, mobilization and honoring voluntary blood donors.

On the afternoon of June 4, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with a delegation of 100 outstanding national voluntary blood donors in 2025.

These are typical examples, representing millions of voluntary blood donors across the country, coming to Hanoi to attend the program honoring typical voluntary blood donors, jointly organized by the Ministry of Health, the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation and the Vietnam Red Cross Society .

Speaking at the meeting, VicePresident Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her gratitude to the blood donors and was particularly impressed when a delegate was recognized for donating blood to save lives hundreds of times, and also participated in mobilizing family, friends and the community to donate blood.

The Vice President also praised the Ministry of Health , the Vietnam Red Cross Society, organizations, individuals and localities for creating a widespread movement throughout the country, full of love and making an important contribution to caring for and protecting people's health.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan requested the Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, and the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation to continue researching and forecasting the upcoming demand for blood, thereby developing plans and strategies to advise the Party and State to perfect institutions and policies related to this field of work.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, and the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation need to continue to innovate the content and methods of propaganda, mobilization, and honoring voluntary blood donors; create the most favorable conditions for subjects to participate in blood donation; promote the application of digital transformation in voluntary blood donation, build a transparent and modern data system, promptly responding to the need for blood transfusion in all situations.

According to the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, the program to honor outstanding voluntary blood donors nationwide will take place in Hanoi and Phu Tho province from June 3 to 5.

Among the 100 examples honored this year, there are 5 people who have donated blood and platelets more than 100 times, such as: Ms. Huynh Thi My An (110 times), Mr. Pham Phu Phat (107 times), Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien (106 times), Mr. Le Hong Minh (102 times), Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Trang (102 times).
