On the morning of February 5, in Hanoi , President Vo Van Thuong visited and inspected the on-duty work and combat readiness of officers and soldiers of the Guard Command and the Mobile Police Command during the 2024 Lunar New Year, according to VNA.

Visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Guard Force (CAND), the President requested that the public security sector focus on and strive to build a "truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern" CAND Guard Force by 2025, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation in the spirit of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo .

To achieve the set goals and requirements, the Public Security Guard force must thoroughly grasp the motto and viewpoint of "Building people as the center, modern first, combined with modern means, logistics, and techniques to ensure synchronization and suitability".

Focus on training, fostering and coaching to build high-quality human resources to meet the requirements and tasks in the country's integration and development process.

The President also requested the security force to proactively grasp, analyze, and accurately forecast the situation, focus on preventive solutions, and eliminate traditional and non-traditional security risks to security work early and from afar. Regardless of the circumstances, it is necessary to absolutely protect the safety of the security objects, resolutely not to be passive and surprised, and not to make even the smallest mistake.

Regularly coordinate and organize drills to handle complex situations on the "ground," "underground," and "in the air."

In particular, in current conditions, it is necessary to actively and proactively research, apply, receive, and transfer scientific and technological results and products to optimize the process of handling situations, commanding operations, and maximizing time to solve tasks.

In addition, continue to research, supplement and perfect the law on security work and building the People's Public Security Security Force, ensuring a systematic, synchronous and highly effective legal framework, creating a solid and favorable legal corridor for the People's Public Security Security Force to perform its duties.

The President noted that the guard force is a special force, must have special regimes and policies, must continue to improve the quality of human resources, equip and supplement advanced and modern means and techniques to best meet the requirements and tasks of "protecting the Party and protecting the leader".

The President also requested the security force to strengthen coordination with agencies, units, sectors and levels, promote the combined strength of the political system and people of all walks of life; promote international cooperation to share experiences in security work, and selectively absorb international experiences suitable to Vietnam's situation.

Visiting, wishing a happy new year, and inspecting combat readiness at the Mobile Police Command, President Vo Van Thuong noted that under any circumstances and conditions, it is necessary to firmly ensure security, order, social safety, prevent and combat crime to serve socio-economic development, and maintain a peaceful and stable environment for the country.

Besides, we must constantly study, improve our technical and tactical skills, strengthen training and practice plans; proactively grasp the situation, be highly combat ready, and not be passive or surprised in any situation.

To meet the requirements and combat missions, the President assigned the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security to continue advising the Party and State on investing in infrastructure to build a mobile police force to ensure the successful completion of tasks in the new situation.

At the same time, pay attention to the material and spiritual life of officers and soldiers in the force, so that each officer and soldier, no matter where they are on duty, can feel the warm atmosphere of spring in the affection of comrades and teammates, in the care of leaders and commanders.
