Mai Son Expressway - National Highway 45 opens two more intersections on the occasion of April 30

Thanh Hoa Thieu Giang and Dong Thang intersections on Mai Son Expressway - National Highway 45 are completing the final items to put into use on the occasion of April 30.

On March 31, Mr. Luong Van Long, Director of the Mai Son - National Highway 45 Project Management Board, said that contractors have basically completed the construction and installation works at Dong Thang intersection (Dong Thang commune, Trieu Son district). Specialized units are completing the acceptance procedures, assessing the quality, and ensuring safety before putting it into use.

Dong Thang Intersection has a total investment of nearly 166 billion VND, started construction on August 22, 2023, with the Ministry of Transport as the investor.

Currently, the construction unit is also paving the final layer of asphalt at Thieu Giang intersection (Thieu Hoa district), preparing to install lighting equipment, signs, guardrails...

Thieu Giang Interchange is a part of the project connecting National Highway 1A with National Highway 45 with a length of 14.6 km, total investment of more than 1,400 billion VND. This project is invested by three units including Thanh Hoa Department of Transport, Thieu Hoa and Hoang Hoa districts with three sub-projects.

The Mai Son - National Highway 45 Expressway is over 63 km long, with a total investment of over 12,100 billion VND. The project started construction in September 2020 and opened to technical traffic from Mai Son to Dong Xuan intersection (53 km long) at the end of 2022. On April 30, 2023, the project completed the remaining 10 km, connecting with National Highway 45 - Nghi Son Expressway.

Mai Son - National Highway 45 has 7 intersections including Mai Son, Dong Giao, Gia Mieu, Ha Linh, Thieu Giang, Dong Xuan and Dong Thang. Dong Xuan and Thieu Giang are the last intersections to open to traffic on this route, helping to promote the value of traffic connection between localities in Thanh Hoa province.
