On July 6, the leader of the People's Committee of Na Loi commune ( Nghe An province) said that the heavy rain that lasted throughout the night of July 5 caused damage in some areas in the locality.

Specifically, at around 10 p.m. on July 5, heavy rain occurred in Na Loi commune, floodwaters from upstream streams poured down strongly, sweeping away the temporary bridge in Na Loi 2 village.

After heavy rain, the inter-commune road from the commune center to Xuoi San and Pieng Lau villages was temporarily completely cut off.
In some areas, the floodwaters were so deep that vehicles carrying equipment overturned while trying to cross the flooded road. Authorities and residents had to use ropes and chock the wheels for hours to get the vehicles out of the dangerous position.

According to a quick report, many households in the area have been forced to evacuate urgently due to the risk of continued landslides. Highland villages such as Huoi Xai 2, Pha Khao and Huoi Thum are being closely monitored due to their steep terrain and weak ground after many consecutive days of rain.

Na Loi Commune is coordinating with border guards, militia and local people to mobilize machinery and human resources to urgently repair temporary roads, level rocks and soil, and check households in dangerous areas to organize evacuation.
