BPO - True stories and memories of historical witnesses who participated in the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising were shared emotionally in the Live Broadcast Bridge with the theme "April 30 - The echoes of the country and rivers united in one strip" taking place this morning. The program was organized by Hanoi Radio and Television Station ( PT - TH ) .   coordination with Radio and Television Station and Binh Phuoc Newspaper , City People's Voice Station.   Ho Chi Minh organized the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification. The program was broadcast live and streamed online on digital platforms, giving a wide audience the opportunity to relive the glorious historical moments of the nation.

With a duration of 120 minutes, the radio bridge brought listeners back to the heroic years with unforgettable memories of 50 years ago. Veteran Duong Thi Tuyet, a guest on the show, shared: April 30, 1975 was the day the entire Vietnamese nation sang a song of triumph, celebrating the country's peace and the reunification of the country. As for me, sitting here today listening to the sounds and stories told by those of us who participated in the war, I am deeply moved and feel like I am reliving the battles of the war. I am proud that I contributed a small part to the great victories of the spring of 1975, the unification of the country, the most glorious, resounding, and greatest victory of the Vietnamese people."

As a soldier participating in the Eastern wing advancing towards Saigon during the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Doanh, former Deputy Political Commander of the 4th Corps (now the 34th Corps) - recalled a time of fierce, fierce but also very heroic fighting: I marched from the North to the South in late 1965 and early 1966 in Phuoc Long, at that time comrade Tu Nguyen was the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. At that time, we were in extremely difficult circumstances. However, we were taken care of, protected and sheltered by the people of Binh Phuoc province. I felt that it was the spirit of solidarity: "The army and the people are like fish in water" in the midst of difficulties and hardships that helped us defeat the enemy. I am very happy that today's live radio program has affirmed for listeners to better understand the meaning, stature and historical value of the Day of Southern Liberation and National Reunification; affirming the Party's wise leadership, the strength and determination to fight and win of our army and the Vietnamese people, the great national unity bloc; arousing the patriotism and pride of cadres, soldiers and people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

For the professor, the happiness of returning to the lecture hall, witnessing the changes of the country in the historic April days made him realize the value of peace and unity. He said: Throughout the history of the nation, throughout the process of building and defending the country, all victories in the resistance wars in wartime or peacetime have relied on the people, the people are the root. However, to have a solid root, we must foster national solidarity. President Ho Chi Minh once said: "Unity, unity, great unity, success, success, great success". The Vietnamese revolution through the ages has proven this. Today, in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, we must rely even more on the people. The people make history.
