The project to build two urban bridge units and organize traffic at Mai Dich intersection (Cau Giay district, Hanoi) is being implemented over a length of about 760 m. The starting point of the project is on Pham Van Dong street (km19+000), the ending point is on Pham Hung street (km19+700, according to the route of Ring Road 3). In the photo, the red lines are the two Mai Dich steel overpasses that have completed construction.

According to the Thang Long Project Management Board ( Ministry of Transport - Investor), the construction of two steel overpasses at Mai Dich intersection will be completed by March 31. Then, in the next 1 to 2 weeks, the relevant agencies such as the Investor and Hanoi Department of Transport will survey, accept and organize the traffic plan.

It is expected that after the opening of all 4 lanes of the Mai Dich overpass (No. 1), the traffic organization plan will be separated into 4 car lanes connecting to the elevated Ring Road 3. With two lanes on the newly built steel overpass (No. 2), it is expected to be organized into two mixed lanes (including cars and motorbikes) circulating in the urban area.

In addition, the two newly built Mai Dich steel overpasses also prohibit pedestrians, bicycles, and non-motorized vehicles from passing through.

It is also expected that the location under Mai Dich overpass will be planned by Hanoi departments and branches to be used as a parking lot to serve the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station railway line, which will be put into operation from July 2024.

The Mai Dich steel overpass project started on February 14, 2023 and was set to be completed in 2023. However, due to land acquisition and investment procedures, the project could not be implemented on site until May 2023. Therefore, the completion date of the project has been pushed back to March 31, 2024.
