In his latest podcast with American venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shares his unique perspective on AI and job displacement.
Huang doesn’t seem to be bothered by claims that AI will take away jobs. Instead, the Nvidia CEO worries that humans aren’t moving fast enough to create new jobs.
“AI in my case is creating jobs. It helps people make things that other people want to buy. And AI also drives more growth, more jobs, and it all goes together. AI is arguably the greatest technological equalizer of all time,” Huang said.
When asked why he thinks AI is the “great equalizer,” Nvidia CEO Huang said that anyone can be a programmer these days. Previously, programmers needed to know languages like C++ or Python, but now they just need to talk to AI.
Since then, the CEO of the world’s largest chip design company believes the barrier between ideation and execution has collapsed. Mr. Huang said that innovators are becoming more technical, while technical people are becoming more creative.
Continuing the conversation, Huang predicted that in the future, every company will have two factories, including one for actual products. The other factory will be handled by AI.
Nvidia CEO Huang cites Tesla, which has separate facilities to build cars and build the AI that drives them, as the most obvious example of this model today. This will not only help break down the barriers for tech companies, but also turn every industrial company into an AI company, Huang said.
Also in the podcast, Nvidia CEO revealed that there are about 150 AI researchers at DeepSeek or OpenAI currently creating value of about 20-30 billion USD .
According to Huang, this figure is equivalent to each person being able to create about $200 million in value, a level of leverage that no industry in history has ever achieved. Therefore, the Nvidia CEO predicts that AI will create more millionaires than the Internet has ever created in just the next 5 years.
