- I was horrified to see the news report. Right in the middle of Hanoi, there's an illegal bus station spanning several acres. This station has all kinds of passenger buses, from large to small. Furthermore, half of the station is for passenger buses, while the other half is bustling with trucks loading and unloading goods. Even more disturbing, all vehicles entering and leaving this station are subject to control and guidance, and all must purchase tickets.

With all that fanfare, why call it illegal?

- It's illegal because the operation involves picking up and dropping off passengers and loading/unloading goods without a license. Previously, transport inspectors visited many times and shut it down. But since the beginning of July 2025, when transport inspectors from the ministerial to the provincial level stopped their inspection and enforcement activities, this terminal has become bustling again! With such a huge scale and such blatant activity, public opinion is certain: "There must be someone backing them up."

- Traffic in our country is strange. Accidents happen all the time on the highway because vehicles don't maintain a safe distance. However, shouting is one thing, but actually making changes to ensure safety is another. With cars, those with "modified" headlights that blind both oncoming and same-direction traffic still drive around recklessly.

- Whenever you hear "tightening," you know immediately that things will loosen up soon after. Consistent discipline is rare. The situation would only change if the law were enforced regularly and thoroughly, one thing at a time.
