According to the reporter of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper on the morning of September 1, Tan Phuoc fishing port was much busier than usual when many fishing boats docked to unload seafood. Hundreds of tons of crabs, crabs, squid, catfish, and some other types of fish were delivered by the boats to traders for consumption.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, owner of the trawler, shared that this trip was quite successful, catching nearly 200kg of crabs and some other valuable fish. With a selling price of about 150,000 VND/kg, after deducting expenses, this trip she made a profit of about tens of millions of VND.
Meanwhile, many other fishing boat owners said that their boats caught a lot of parrotfish (also known as catfish) and were being purchased by traders at 135,000-150,000 VND/kg. However, currently, fuel and labor prices are quite high, so the profit is not as good as before.
It is currently the main fishing season, so after loading seafood, the ships are busy preparing for the next trip.
