Earlier, on the afternoon of October 27, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center received a report from fishing vessel QNg 90459 TS regarding fisherman Nguyen Van C. (born in 1973, residing in Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province) who was suffering from a high fever, severe abdominal pain, and difficulty breathing, requiring urgent rescue.

After contacting the Da Nang 115 Emergency Center, the doctor diagnosed the patient with a high probability of acute appendicitis and recommended urgent transport to shore.
Recognizing the critical situation, the authorities dispatched SAR vessel 631 from Quy Nhon port to conduct the rescue operation.

At 7:48 PM on the same day, SAR 631 approached the fishing vessel and transferred the patient to a specialized vessel for emergency treatment. Fisherman Nguyen Van C. was out of critical condition and was taken ashore for further treatment by the rescue vessel.
