Previously, on the afternoon of October 27, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center received a report from fishing vessel QNg 90459 TS about the case of fisherman Nguyen Van C. (born in 1973, residing in Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province) with high fever, severe abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, and needing urgent rescue.

After connecting with the 115 Danang Emergency Center, the doctor diagnosed the patient as having a high possibility of acute appendicitis and needed to be brought ashore urgently.
Identifying the emergency situation, the authorities mobilized SAR 631 ship to leave Quy Nhon port for rescue.

At 7:48 p.m. the same day, SAR 631 approached the fishing boat and transferred the patient to a specialized ship for emergency treatment. Fisherman Nguyen Van C. was out of danger and was taken to the mainland for treatment by the rescue ship.
