From early morning, the grounds of Dam Sen Park were bustling with the colors of their uniforms, the laughter, and the enthusiastic cheers of officials and farmer association members from 76 commune, ward, and special zone farmer associations across the city. Over 500 officials and farmer association members gathered to compete in tug-of-war, dragon boat racing, and the "Farmers' Song" karaoke competition, creating a united, exciting, and emotionally charged sporting atmosphere.

The sports event was held concurrently with many important activities of the City Farmers' Association such as: summarizing the activities of the Farmers' Support Fund in 2025; summarizing the organization of the Farmers' Association delegate congresses at the commune level for the 2025-2030 term and presenting livelihood resources and agricultural tools to members and farmers in difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Do Ngoc Huy, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association, said that this is not only a healthy sporting event but also an opportunity for key officials at all levels of the Association to meet, interact, share experiences, strengthen bonds, and create a foundation for the effective implementation of the Association's work and the farmers' movement in the future.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association, after the merger, the entire city now has more than 163,000 members, operating in nearly 2,000 branches and more than 3,200 groups, along with hundreds of professional branches, groups and farmers' clubs.

In the new context, the work of the Farmers' Association and the farmers' movement faces many opportunities for development but also numerous challenges, requiring strong innovation in thinking and methods of operation. The spirit of "think truthfully, speak truthfully, act truthfully, produce truthful products, achieve truthful results, and enjoy truthful benefits" is vividly concretized through the Sports Festival and accompanying activities aimed at caring for social welfare.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association commended and rewarded 12 collectives and 26 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the Farmers' Support Fund in 2025; congratulated 76 units for successfully organizing the commune-level delegate congresses; and presented livelihood resources and agricultural tools to 21 members and farmers in difficult circumstances, providing them with further motivation to stabilize their lives and develop production.
