Difficult to move up
Da Huoai 3 commune changed its name from Ba Gia commune, established on the basis of merging Doan Ket commune and Da P'loa commune of Da Huoai district (old). After establishment, Da Huoai 3 commune had a natural area of 131.51 km2 , population of 6,500 people.
According to the Party Secretary of Da Huoai 3 Commune - Nguyen Quoc Phi, during the 2020 - 2025 term, the local Party Committee and government have invested in many infrastructure upgrade projects, especially traffic infrastructure, along with production support projects with the desire to help people change their thinking, ways of working, and become self-reliant in life.
Up to now, the work of converting crop and livestock varieties in the commune has achieved outstanding results. The locality has gradually formed and developed key crops such as durian, mangosteen, etc., gradually replacing ineffective crop varieties. The commune has created a specialized area for high-quality agricultural production. Specifically, the whole commune of Da Huoai 3 has 1,400 hectares of durian; of which 712.3 hectares have been harvested. In the commune, there are 2 cooperatives with 125 members and 1 basic durian club with 40 members. Da Huoai 3 commune has built 3 growing area codes/194.9 hectares/92 households; 73.8 hectares/58 households have been granted VietGAP certificates... The average production value per unit of agricultural land area is estimated at 136.8 million VND/ha/year. Agricultural extension, transfer of scientific and technological advances, and disease prevention and control in production and livestock breeding are implemented synchronously and effectively.
The program of building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas has been focused on by the locality with many effective solutions, contributing to raising awareness and the role of the people. The campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", combined with building typical residential areas and model residential areas, has been focused on and achieved many results.
Poverty reduction work has been focused on by leaders and managers with many drastic and effective solutions. From assigning cadres and party members to be in charge of poor households, to the timely and effective implementation of policies and regimes to support livelihoods from socialized sources, the effectiveness has been quite good.
The work of protecting and taking care of people's health continues to receive attention. Facilities and equipment for primary medical examination and treatment are increasingly better. The medical staff is increased in quantity and improved in quality.
Along with that, the national target program on Socio-economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas has been implemented synchronously, contributing significantly to improving the material and spiritual life of the people, and firmly strengthening the great national unity bloc.
Party building continues to be a key task
The Party Committee of Da Huoai 3 commune currently has 17 subordinate Party cells, with a total of 244 Party members. According to the Party Committee Secretary of Da Huoai 3 commune - Nguyen Quoc Phi, identifying Party building as a key task, the Party Committee focuses on directing the improvement of the leadership capacity and fighting strength of subordinate Party organizations. The focus is on improving the quality of Party cell activities in accordance with Instruction No. 12-HD/BTCTW of the Central Organization Committee. The work of creating sources, training and admitting new Party members is always focused on by local Party Committees; management, education and assignment of tasks to Party Committee members and Party members are strengthened. The planning work associated with training, fostering and using cadres is implemented by the Party Committee of the commune in accordance with local realities.
Inspection and supervision of party organizations and party members are carried out regularly. The contingent of cadres and party members, especially key leaders, promote exemplary behavior in training and cultivating political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, practicing thrift, fighting waste and negativity. From there, contributing to preventing and stopping violations of the law on preventing and fighting corruption and negativity in the area. Party cells and party members under the Party Committee have promoted their pioneering and exemplary role in performing political and professional tasks in agencies, units and residential areas.
The People's Council and People's Committee of Da Huoai 3 Commune have performed their functions and tasks well according to the law; focused on innovation, improving the quality and efficiency in management and operation. Thereby, they have focused on solving practical problems and development requirements of the locality. The work of receiving people, handling complaints and denunciations of citizens has been seriously implemented according to the law.
The first Congress of the Party Committee of Da Huoai 3 commune, term 2025 - 2030, opened a new development path for the locality. The Congress with the theme "Strengthening the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity; promoting innovation and creativity; maintaining national defense and security; building Da Huoai 3 commune to develop comprehensively and sustainably" and the motto "Solidarity - Discipline - Responsibility - Setting an example - Efficiency", along with specific goals and key tasks set out are the premise, belief and aspiration for the entire Party, people and army of Da Huoai 3 commune, with high political determination, to overcome difficulties and challenges, to make Da Huoai 3 commune increasingly rich - beautiful - civilized - affectionate.
