"Witnessing" a series of concrete components of the AMACCAO brand
On August 26-27, the Hanoi Department of Construction held a workshop on developing some types of recycled construction materials and new construction materials in Hanoi.
The workshop is an opportunity for state management agencies, experts, research institutes and construction material (VLXD) manufacturing enterprises to discuss the current urgent situation of lack of raw materials for construction projects and materials for manufacturing high-tech concrete products. The problem is to quickly apply and increase the rate of using recycled materials, new environmentally friendly materials, and minimize the impact on the ecosystem.
Faced with increasingly high demands in the construction sector, many new construction materials have emerged, overcoming many limitations of traditional materials. In construction and construction, new materials play an important role and are widely used thanks to their outstanding advantages: load-bearing capacity, light weight, durability over time, energy saving, etc.
At the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Director of the Department of Construction Materials ( Ministry of Construction ) mentioned Chau Au Nam Concrete Structure Joint Stock Company as one of the examples of applying new technology, new materials and the ability to research and produce new products to meet development trends in the construction sector.

In particular, visitors can also directly refer to a series of precast concrete products of the AMACCAO brand of Chau Au Nam such as: tunnel lining panels (Segment panels), grass planting panels, fiberglass reinforced concrete panels, precast concrete stairs, concrete columns, concrete piles... These are products developed by Chau Au Nam, applying new materials to production to create a difference with a beautiful, sharp, smooth appearance, completely different from traditional concrete products.

Constantly searching for and using new environmentally friendly materials
Currently, the demand for sand, stone, cement, etc. in the construction of civil and industrial works, especially traffic works, is facing many difficulties and shortages of raw materials, leading to many projects having increased capital costs or having to stop due to lack of sand for filling.
Faced with this reality, Chau Au Nam has come up with a solution to use artificial sand, replacing natural sand to produce precast concrete products, minimizing the impact on the environment. Along with that, utilizing by-products of steel mills and thermal power plants such as fly ash, blast furnace slag, etc. as production materials helps create a closed cycle, saving costs, reducing prices, reducing emissions and protecting the environment.
“It is hard to believe that these beautiful, shiny, precast concrete blocks are produced from artificial sand, a by-product of the factory. It is true that only after visiting can we see that Chau Au Nam Company’s concrete component production capacity has reached a very high level,” said Do Hung, a visitor at the conference, when visiting Chau Au Nam’s booth displaying AMACCAO brand precast concrete components.
Pioneer in new product lines, specialized products
It is known that Chau Au Nam is the only unit in the North selected to produce and supply international standard tunnel lining panels (segment panels) for the Nhon - Hanoi Station Metro Subway project.
The produced tunnel lining panels must meet extremely strict technical and aesthetic requirements with very high precision, good waterproofing, and allowable size tolerance of only ±0.2mm, ensuring the project's lifespan lasts for hundreds of years.
From production work such as material preparation, steel cage processing, cleaning of panel molds, steel cage installation into molds, concrete pouring, finishing of wet concrete products, steam curing, product removal from molds, steam curing with mist spraying system, product finishing and painting, accessory installation... to the acceptance of tunnel shell panels are all applied according to European and world standards.
Along with that, PP fiber reinforced grass panels developed by Chau Au Nam Company also received much attention at the conference. The product uses high-strength steel, PP fiber reinforced concrete with the ability to reinforce, increase flexibility, has fireproof, water-proof, anti-cracking properties, helping to maintain a longer life than conventional concrete, even in harsh environments with many acids. This is a new product, a very good solution to replace stone revetments.
In addition, Chau Au Nam continuously researches and produces a series of other new products such as elevator cores, hybrid wind power towers, chimneys for power plants... to replace traditional methods, helping to reduce construction time, save costs, increase construction durability...
