Crowding to go to Tay Ho temple to celebrate the full moon festival in January, police increased more than 20 checkpoints to ensure security

On the morning of February 24 (January 15), crowds of people flocked to Tay Ho Palace ( Hanoi ) to offer incense and pray for peace and luck. To ensure security both inside and outside the palace, the police force increased to more than 20 checkpoints with nearly 50 soldiers.

Recorded at 10:30 am on February 24 (January 15) at Tay Ho Palace, the outdoor temperature was about 14 degrees Celsius with light rain.
Despite the cold and rainy weather, thousands of people still flocked to Tay Ho temple.
Coming to the temple early in the morning, Ms. Dieu Linh (Dong Da) shared: "The 15th day of the first lunar month is a very important holiday of the year. Every year I go to Tay Ho temple to pray for peace and hope that my work will be smooth and favorable."
Besides, many young people also go to Tay Ho temple on the full moon day of January.
Thu Ha (student of Hanoi National University) said that Vietnamese people believe that the festivals all year round are not as good as the full moon festival in January. Therefore, we go to Tay Ho temple to pray for good luck in our studies and careers.
People burn incense outside, not inside places of worship to limit the risk of fire and explosion.
Everyone sincerely offered incense at Tay Ho Palace.
Inside the places of worship at Tay Ho Palace, there were also many people making offerings and praying.

This year, the management board of Tay Ho Palace coordinated with relevant units to ensure good service, security and environmental sanitation. A representative of the Quang An Ward Police - Tay Ho District said that to ensure security on the 15th day of the first lunar month, the Quang An Ward Police - Tay Ho District has increased more than 20 checkpoints with nearly 50 soldiers. Inside Tay Ho Palace alone, there are 12 soldiers constantly patrolling to ensure security against acts of taking advantage of the crowd to steal property.
After praying, pilgrims burn votive papers and paper money, sending their wishes for the beginning of spring.
As noon approached, the number of people coming to Tay Ho temple to celebrate the full moon day of January continued to increase.
