The Party Cell of the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances organized a thematic meeting at the memorial site of comrade Hoang Dinh Giong.

On the morning of July 17, the Party Cell of the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances (abbreviated as the Center) under the Party Committee of the Department of Science and Technology of Cao Bang province organized a thematic meeting for the second quarter of 2025 at the memorial site of comrade Hoang Dinh Giong (in Thuc Phan ward, Cao Bang province), which is a typical "red address" for educating revolutionary traditions for cadres and party members.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, 23/23 party members in the Party Cell offered incense and flowers to commemorate and express their deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of comrade Hoang Dinh Giong, a typical revolutionary senior, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh , and an outstanding son of his homeland Cao Bang.

Comrade Hoang Dinh Giong, born in 1904 in Thom Hoang village, Ha Hoang commune, Hoa An district (now Thuc Phan ward, Cao Bang province). Participating in revolutionary activities very early, he held many important leadership positions: Secretary of the Long Chau Overseas Party Cell (in 1929); directly directed the establishment of the first Communist Party Cell in Cao Bang (in 1930); Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party (in 1935); Head of the Provincial Uprising Committee (in 1945); After the success of the August 1945 Revolution, President Ho Chi Minh assigned him the task of Commander of the Southern Advance Army; in the South, he held many important positions: Political Commissar of the Southern Liberation Army; First Minister of Military Region 9, Minister of Military Region 6. He heroically sacrificed himself at the Ninh Thuan front in 1947.

In recognition of his great contributions, the Party and State posthumously awarded him many noble awards: Ho Chi Minh Medal (1998); Hero of the People's Armed Forces (2009); Outstanding Senior Leader of the Party and the Vietnamese Revolution (2018).

At the thematic meeting, Comrade Luong Thanh Tuan - Party Cell Secretary, Director of the Center reported to the spirit of Comrade Hoang Dinh Giong about the outstanding results that the Party Cell has achieved in the past time. He affirmed that the Party Cell will continue to uphold the sense of responsibility, cultivate political qualities, revolutionary ethics, promote the spirit of solidarity, improve professional capacity, and contribute to the successful implementation of the province's science and technology tasks in the new period.

Also within the framework of the meeting, the party members visited the memorial site, learned about the life, career and revolutionary activities of comrade Hoang Dinh Giong through images, artifacts and valuable documents preserved at the site. In order to contribute to creating conditions for party members in the Party Cell to review the fine traditions and glorious revolutionary pride of their homeland, foster patriotism and sense of responsibility of party members in the current period.

Also on this occasion, the Party Cell visited and offered incense at the Memorial Area - Dong Chup Hamlet, Thuc Phan Ward, Cao Bang Province to commemorate the 43 innocent people massacred by the Chinese invaders during the 1979 border protection war of our army and people.

The thematic meeting is a regular activity of the Central Party Cell. This is an opportunity for each cadre and party member to self-reflect, self-correct, improve organizational discipline, promote the spirit of self-criticism and criticism, strive to complete assigned tasks well, contribute to building a clean and strong Party Cell, and bring the study and following of the examples of revolutionary leaders and predecessors into reality and effectiveness in every activity of the unit./.
