“Holy Night” is directed and written by Lim Dae Hee. The film is set in modern-day Korea, starting with a series of shocking murders that leave the police scratching their heads.

Suspecting that the incident is related to a demon-worshipping cult and supernatural forces, the investigation team made an extremely bold decision: giving the green light to the Holy Night group including Kang Bau (Ma Dong Seok), Sharon (Seohyun) and Kim Kun (David Lee) to intervene.

Although it is an action-exorcism work with a strong Korean cultural identity, to get closer to Vietnamese audiences, the distributor released a dubbed version, gathering a cast of famous stars, in which Thai Hoa takes on the voice role of Bau - the character played by "muscular uncle" Ma Dong Seok.

For the actor, this is his return to the dubbing studio after more than 10 years since the animated film “Angry Birds”. Thai Hoa said that he is a “picky” person when it comes to scripts and is difficult to work with, but after watching “The Demon Hunters”, he decided to accept the collaboration because this is a “very attractive and entertaining film”.

The actor shared that dubbing a live-action character and an animated character are the same. With each project, he always tries to capture the spirit of the character. “The important thing when dubbing is to understand and research the character thoroughly. Hopefully, my voice will be similar to actor Ma Dong Seok and will be supported by the audience,” he said.

Meanwhile, Miss Ky Duyen contributed her voice to the project as priestess Sharon. For the first time dubbing a movie, Ky Duyen was quite nervous waiting for the audience's response.

“This was a huge challenge for a newcomer to the dubbing industry like me, having to imagine myself as a shaman casting an exorcism spell to save people. When watching the movie with everyone, seeing everyone laughing happily, I was very happy for my first time dubbing, especially when the original actress was Seohyun - a member of the group SNSD,” she said.

In addition, the work also features the voice of Neko Le - as Kim Kun - the cameraman of the demon hunting team with an eccentric and humorous personality; Misthy as Eun Seo - the girl possessed by a demon; Thuy Diem dubbing the role of Eun Seo's older sister.

Sharing more about her voiceover experience, Misthy said that she had to ask her assistant to… strangle and pinch her really hard to act out the screaming and yelling scenes realistically; while for Neko Le, this was a special occasion because it was the first time his voice appeared on the big screen. As for Thuy Diem, she felt happy and honored to be invited to participate in dubbing a Korean movie that many audiences were looking forward to.

“Demon Hunters” released 2 subtitled and dubbed versions, officially premiering in theaters nationwide from May 9.
