According to the People's Committee of Tay Giang district, in 2019, the district opened a Co Tu language training class for cadres, civil servants and public employees in the district with a total of 28 students.
Besides the achievements in compiling and collecting the Co Tu script, Tay Giang district is facing difficulties due to the lack of consensus and unification of the three Co Tu scripts of the three districts of Dong Giang, Tay Giang, and Nam Dong (Thua Thien Hue province); currently there are many scripts so there is no official Co Tu script.

Nam Dong district leaders informed that Nam Dong is a mountainous district of Thua Thien Hue province, mainly inhabited by two ethnic groups, Kinh and Co Tu, of which the Co Tu ethnic group accounts for about 46.14% of the district's population. Training ethnic minority languages for officials and civil servants is very necessary. From 2003 to present, the district has opened 13 Co Tu ethnic language training classes with 729 students.

The teaching staff has not been trained, so they are still confused about the teaching methods...
Tay Giang and Nam Dong districts have shared orientations and methods such as continuing to train and foster ethnic languages for cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, teachers, including students and ethnic minorities in the locality; increasing radio broadcasting of ethnic minority languages... Thereby preserving and maintaining the spoken and written languages of their ethnic groups.
