The government requires continuing to socialize textbook compilation.

TPO - The Government has just issued a Resolution on the action program to implement fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, requiring the Ministry of Education and Training to continue implementing a unified general education program nationwide, with each subject having one or several textbooks and socializing the compilation of textbooks.

The Government requested the Ministry of Education and Training to develop a project and report on the Politburo's policy to issue a Resolution on education development and the National Target Program on education development to improve the quality of teaching and learning at all levels; exempt tuition fees for children and students; and make English the second language in schools.

Quickly complete and submit to the National Assembly for approval the Law on Teachers; research and propose amendments and supplements to regulations to strengthen the role of state management agencies on education and training in deciding on staffing, organizational structure, policies for teachers and allocating state budget to the education sector.

Innovate state management of education and training towards improving effectiveness and efficiency, reducing focal points and promoting decentralization; ensuring synchronization and connectivity.

Preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and localities to comprehensively evaluate the implementation of the policy of arranging and merging Continuing Education Centers and Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers nationwide and propose appropriate solutions to facilitate management work.

The Ministry of Education and Training shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to develop and effectively implement the new preschool education program with advanced care and education content and methods.

Continue to innovate and improve the quality of political, ideological, ethical, lifestyle and life skills education for students.

Continue to improve and effectively implement the General Education Program; strongly innovate teaching and learning methods, testing and evaluation towards promoting the positivity, proactiveness, creativity, qualities and abilities of learners.

Continue to implement a unified general education program nationwide, each subject has one or several textbooks and socialize the compilation of textbooks.

The study proposes that the Government issue mechanisms and policies on using the state budget for some textbooks that cannot be socialized, such as textbooks in ethnic minority languages, textbooks for 6 subjects of some foreign languages, and braille books for visually impaired students; gradually implement electronic textbooks; encourage the development of learning materials such as audiobooks, large-size books, etc. to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Innovate and improve the quality of political, ideological, ethical, lifestyle, life skills, national defense and security education for students, pupils and trainees in conjunction with building and promoting the system of cultural values and Vietnamese people.

There are solutions to improve the quality of career orientation and streaming for students right from middle school to increase the number of students after middle school and high school entering vocational education.

Implement the Project on training human resources to serve high-tech development in the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045 after being approved by the Prime Minister.

Accelerate the digital transformation process in education, equip preschool children, pupils and students with knowledge and skills to adapt to studying and working safely in the digital space.

The Ministry of Education and Training continues to improve the quality and standardize the team; research mechanisms and policies for mobilizing and rotating teachers between localities to fundamentally resolve the situation of local teacher surplus and shortage and improve the quality of education in disadvantaged areas.
