The notice on the facade of the building at 125 Hai Ba Trung is written in both Vietnamese and English that the Nga Market Shopping Center (1st floor) will start operating from October 1, 2025. At the old address at 328 Vo Van Kiet, now in Cau Ong Lanh ward - there is also a notice stating "From October 1, 2025, Nga Market will move to a new location at 125 Hai Ba Trung, Saigon ward, Ho Chi Minh City".
Russian Market was founded in 2009 by a Vietnamese student who studied in Russia. It was a start-up idea, a personal creation and a brand created from love for the land of the White Birch, strongly nurtured over the past 16 years thanks to the real need for shopping for goods, especially warm items, for the Russian community and international tourists when coming to Ho Chi Minh City.

The Russian Market at the new location is bustling with construction and decoration in preparation for opening.

At first, the Russian Market also "bite the bullet and accept the loss" because the location was far from the center and Vo Van Kiet Street in those years was still messy and not as open as it is now. But gradually, more and more traders gathered, diversifying their products and this place became known as a unique shopping destination, becoming a symbol of Russian culture in Saigon since when no one remembers. On the internet, the keyword "Russian Market" also became "hot" and travel guides are not lacking this destination for tourists to refer to.

"I have been to the Russian Market many times and every time I bring back a few things as gifts for my friends, sometimes Matryoshka dolls; sometimes ceramic items; sometimes I buy fresh caviar and vodka...", Mr. Khoi in Tan My ward, Ho Chi Minh City, confided.
Hopefully from now on, Russian Market will move to a new location right in the heart of Saigon, just a few steps walk in the central area from Notre Dame Cathedral through the City Post Office , through Nguyen Van Binh book street... to be able to enjoy the unique cultural space of the land of the White Birch.
