President Nguyen Van Duoc: Learning from Uncle Ho is associated with Party building and rectification.

On the afternoon of May 17, the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo to commend collectives and individuals who have done well in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in 2025 and the period 2016 - 2025, and awarded party badges on May 19. Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc said that the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo over the past 10 years has been identified as a core, central, and consistent political task associated with Party building work and the implementation of socio -economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security.

The entire political system has implemented the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in many flexible and creative forms, attracting nearly 90% of workers to participate.

The implementation of annual, full-course topics is specified in accordance with the functions and tasks of each unit, Party cell, organization, and individual, associated with the exemplary responsibility of leaders and the work of self-criticism, criticism, and "self-reflection - self-correction".

There are many typical and advanced collectives and individuals in patriotic emulation movements with more than 10,000 initiatives bringing great economic values ​​to the city. Especially, during the Covid-19 pandemic, there are many creative models and individuals who sacrifice themselves for the community, becoming shining examples, vivid and effective proof of learning and following Uncle Ho.

"Everyone, from dedicated, exemplary officials to the most ordinary and compassionate people, contributes to making Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style shine in every specific, practical and meaningful humane action," Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc shared.

With the achieved results, the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee commended 65 typical advanced collectives and 88 individuals, and proposed to commend and reward 20 collectives and 18 individuals at the city level.

In addition to the achievements, Ho Chi Minh City leaders frankly acknowledged the limitations and shortcomings in implementation, such as in some places, it is still a formality and has not become a profound content of activities; inspection and evaluation work is not yet thorough; the discovery and replication of typical examples are not regular, continuous, timely, and appropriate for the right person and the right job.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc noted the need to focus on leading the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, in conjunction with implementing the 4th Central Resolution on Party building and rectification and preventing degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

Ideological work must combine "construction" and "resistance," taking "construction" as a fundamental, strategic, long-term task, making progressive and positive thoughts permeate the entire social life, having the effect of correcting deviant manifestations, reforming backward thoughts, and pushing back wrongdoings...

On this occasion, the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded badges of 30, 40, 45, 55 years of Party membership to 50 Party members. This is a recognition of the years of steadfast, silent but extremely great dedication of comrades to the cause of building and developing the country.
