At the meeting, the President expressed his joy at receiving artisans representing more than 5,400 craft villages nationwide, and acknowledged and praised the positive contributions of the Association and artisans in preserving and developing traditional crafts.

The President highly appreciated the efforts of ministries, sectors and localities in proposing policies to restore, preserve and promote the value of craft villages – not only a sustainable livelihood for people, but also a place to preserve cultural identity in the process of international integration.
Stating that the country is preparing to enter a new era with many advantages, opportunities, difficulties and challenges intertwined, the President requested that all levels, sectors, localities, craft village associations and artisans pay special attention to preserving and promoting national culture, considering this a strategic task, an obligation and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the whole society.
According to the President, in every stage of the country's development, craft villages are still the place to ensure a sustainable life, the safest, closest and most accessible support for the rural workforce, ensuring social security. Therefore, ministries, branches and localities need to further promote vocational training, arouse a strong entrepreneurial spirit among young workers in rural areas; constantly pay attention to and take care of improving the material and spiritual life of people in craft villages.
At the same time, the President requested to continue promoting the role of professional social organizations, associations, and craft village associations in linking and gathering strength for mutual development; organizing production, business, promoting trade, and advertising products; improving productivity, quality, and diversifying products associated with promoting the application of science and technology; paying attention to building and protecting brands and organizing the creation of sustainable sources of raw materials in the production and business process.
In particular, the President requested localities to pay attention to environmental protection in craft villages, propagate and mobilize people to implement and apply sustainable economic development models, green economy, circular economy, and environmental friendliness; develop occupations in parallel with sustainable development, ensure social security, and improve the quality of life and safety for people in craft villages.

Regarding the proposals and recommendations of the association representatives and artisans, the President acknowledged and requested relevant ministries, branches, agencies and organizations to strengthen research and propose solutions to improve mechanisms and policies to promote the development of craft villages in Vietnam; accompany and support craft villages, encourage national pride and self-esteem, honor and motivate artisans and skilled workers, especially the younger generation, to stick with, preserve, conserve and promote traditional crafts.
The President also requested ministries and branches to pay more attention to preferential policies for artisans; foster and expand advanced models; continue to promote the recognition of state honorary titles such as People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan in a timely manner, with high impact.
