According to VTV, on June 10, the match between the Vietnamese team and the Malaysian team in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup took place at Bukit Jalil Stadium (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and was broadcast live by VTV on channels VTV5, VTV Can Tho and the digital platform VTVgo.
After the match ended, many online newspapers and their fanpages posted highlight clips summarizing the match, including the scoring situations. VTV affirmed that the reuse of images, especially extracting clips from broadcast content, must have written consent from VTV.

VTV said that if a valid document is not received by the end of this period, the units that posted the content without approval will be required to remove it and may face related legal proceedings.
In addition to the copyright for the Vietnam - Malaysia match, VTV also holds the copyright to broadcast the remaining two away matches of the Vietnamese team in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, including the match against Nepal on October 14 and Laos on November 18.
