Before attending the program, comrades Nong Duc Manh, Tran Thanh Man and delegates offered incense and flowers at Na Nua hut; Tan Trao Communal House; Uncle Ho's statue in Tan Trao; memorial house of President Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary predecessors; memorial house of President Ton Duc Thang. Visited the thematic exhibition: National Congress of Tan Trao to the National Assembly today.
At the program "Back to the source - towards the future", delegates watched a special report on the history of formation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the highest State power body of our people.
Speaking at the program, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that Tuyen Quang is a land rich in revolutionary traditions, culture, history, and has an important strategic position in the country. This place bears the mark of revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central ministries and branches during the resistance war.
In particular, 80 years ago, this was where the National Congress took place, a major event that opened a new page in the nation's history, laying the foundation for the birth of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
In recent days, many delegations of the National Assembly, agencies and units have "returned to their roots" in Tuyen Quang; visited and offered incense at historical sites and held many meaningful and practical gratitude activities. Notably, on August 14, General Secretary To Lam visited and worked in Tuyen Quang province, attended the National Day for National Security Protection and inaugurated the statue of Uncle Ho in Tan Trao.
He expressed his deep gratitude to revolutionary elders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, families with meritorious services to the country, compatriots, cadres and soldiers who sacrificed and contributed to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
Under the leadership of the Party, after nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation process, the country has achieved great and historic achievements: National independence and sovereignty are maintained; politics and society are stable; the economy is increasingly developing; people's lives are constantly improving.
National defense and security are firmly ensured; diplomacy is increasingly promoted actively and effectively. Party building and the political system are given importance and have many innovations.
The political system has been reorganized and innovated in the direction of “streamlining-strength-efficiency-effectiveness-efficiency”. The construction and perfection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam’s rule-of-law State has been implemented more synchronously. The activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political and social organizations have continued to be innovated, and the strength of great national unity has been promoted.
Along with the development of the country, Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces have had encouraging developments. After the merger, Tuyen Quang province has promptly and fully implemented the policies and guidelines of the Central Government.
The province needs to continue the revolutionary tradition, promote the achievements, continue to innovate, be more creative, and be more determined, overcome all difficulties and challenges; build a clean and strong political system. Achieve growth targets; develop science and technology, innovate, green and sustainable growth, develop tourism associated with nature, history and culture; preserve, conserve and promote the value of cultural relics, and constantly improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
The Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government always pay attention to the ethnic people of Tuyen Quang province, working with the province to remove difficulties and obstacles, promoting rapid and sustainable development in the new era of the nation.
In the immediate future, the province will successfully organize the first Provincial Party Congress, actively contributing to the 14th National Party Congress and the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that this year's "return to the source" activities are not only to pay tribute to our predecessors but also an opportunity to remind today's generation, especially the young generation, to more deeply understand the meaning of the country's achievements, and to work together to fulfill the wish of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, which is: The Vietnamese people step up to the stage of glory to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.
Speaking at the program, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Tuyen Quang province, thanked the sentiments, attention and support of the leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and central departments, ministries and branches for their attention and support so that the province can promote its revolutionary tradition, steadily enter an era of strong, prosperous, civilized and happy development, worthy of its position as a revolutionary homeland.
At the program, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and leaders of the National Assembly and Tuyen Quang province presented 81 gifts from the National Assembly Standing Committee to representatives of policy families, meritorious people and historical witnesses; presented 15 sets of computers to 3 primary schools and 1 hematology testing machine to Tan Trao Regional General Clinic.
