(PLVN) - In order to grasp the production and business situation as well as listen to the thoughts and aspirations of enterprises, on the afternoon of January 3, in Pleiku City, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung visited and worked with the leaders of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group (HAGL). Chairman of HAGL Board of Directors Doan Nguyen Duc and General Director Nguyen Xuan Thang received the delegation.

(PLVN) - In order to grasp the production and business situation as well as listen to the thoughts and aspirations of enterprises, on the afternoon of January 3, in Pleiku City, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung visited and worked with the leaders of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group (HAGL). Chairman of HAGL Board of Directors Doan Nguyen Duc and General Director Nguyen Xuan Thang received the delegation.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HAGL Doan Nguyen Duc introduced that after more than 30 years of establishment and development, HAGL is now a company specializing in agriculture with the vision of becoming a leading enterprise in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Since 2007, the Group has focused on investing in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia with key products such as bananas, durian and pig farming.
Accordingly, bananas are a strategic product of HAGL with an area of 7,000 hectares exported to the markets of China, Japan, and Korea. Recently, the Group has provided high-quality bananas to domestic consumers.

Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc said that durian is not only a crop with high economic value but also contributes to promoting the brand of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market. Currently, HAGL's 2,000-hectare durian garden is the largest durian garden in the world.
Regarding pig farming, HAGL has built modern, closed-loop farming systems with a capacity of 500,000 pigs that meet biosafety and environmental hygiene standards.
Along with production and business activities, HAGL Group always focuses on sustainable development, environmental protection and actively contributes to social security and sports in Gia Lai province, some other localities as well as the two neighboring countries of Laos and Cambodia.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung highly appreciated the contributions of HAGL Group to the socio-economic development of the province. With its large scale and strong potential, HAGL not only creates thousands of jobs for local people, Laos and Cambodia but also contributes to promoting Vietnam's agricultural exports.
The Chairman of Gia Lai Province emphasized that in the context of the global economic fluctuations, maintaining stable production and sustainable development is extremely important. The provincial government pledged to continue to accompany and support HAGL Group in removing difficulties and obstacles.
Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc hopes to receive support from the provincial government in improving infrastructure, especially the connecting traffic system to facilitate the transportation and export of goods. HAGL Group commits to continue to promote its strengths, expand production scale and increase the value of agricultural products of the Central Highlands and Vietnam in the domestic and international markets.
