Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee works with District 6 to remove difficulties and obstacles in investment projects

On the afternoon of June 5, comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and a working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee worked with District 6 on the socio-economic situation in the first 5 months of 2025 and resolved the district's recommendations.

Proposal to transfer house and land to build school

During the meeting, Vice Chairman of District 6 People's Committee Nguyen Huy Thang proposed a number of difficulties and obstacles in implementing investment projects in the district. Currently, Binh Phu Investment Joint Stock Company has 15 component projects in Ward 10 and Ward 11. However, the above projects still owe technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, and many other contents according to the conclusion of the Ho Chi Minh City Inspectorate. Continuing to implement the project is facing difficulties and obstacles.

The Vice Chairman of District 6 People's Committee proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee establish a working group to review, evaluate, and propose solutions to existing difficulties and problems.

Regarding the land under the management of departments and branches in District 6, the Vice Chairman of the District 6 People's Committee said that the district has an official dispatch requesting consideration of transferring real estate assets in 8 land plots to the District People's Committee to build 7 new schools and 1 green park.

Socio -economic has many bright spots

Previously, reporting on the socio-economic results in the first 5 months of 2025, Chairwoman of District 6 People's Committee Le Thi Thanh Thao said that the district is interested in creating all favorable conditions for enterprises and business households to establish, operate and develop, the number of newly established enterprises and business households increased compared to the same period, contributing to increasing state budget revenue. The whole district has 7,595 operating enterprises, 21,241 business households and 38 cooperatives.

Accordingly, the total state budget revenue is estimated at more than 737 billion VND, reaching nearly 63% of the estimate (1,175 billion VND), an increase of nearly 48% over the same period in 2024. Regarding the disbursement of public investment capital, by May 26, the district had disbursed nearly 70 billion VND, reaching 22.8% of the total assigned capital (306.6 billion VND).

Security and order in District 6 are well controlled, with no hot spots, contributing to creating a safe and stable environment for local socio-economic development.

Up to now, District 6 has no poor households according to the poverty standards of Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2021-2025. The district regularly cares about social security, organizes health care programs for people; organizes cultural and artistic activities for people to enjoy and entertain.
