VFF President hopes Vietnamese women's football will continue to have tickets to the 2027 World Cup

As Thanh Nien reported, after the Vietnamese women's team ended the 2023 World Cup with a defeat to the Netherlands in the group stage, the President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) shared: "VFF highly appreciates the efforts of each individual, each player and the entire team, which have been recognized by many people.

After this tournament, we still have tournaments ahead to set the stage for our big goals in the future. Hopefully, we will still be able to participate in the 2027 Women's World Cup. I hope that we will continue to enjoy that atmosphere at the 2027 Women's World Cup. To do that, each of us must work hard."

Vietnamese girls have been highly appreciated for their spirit.

Coach Mai Duc Chung said: "At the 2023 Women's World Cup, the Vietnamese women's team is in the same group with the defending champion USA, the defending runner-up Netherlands and Portugal. We played the US women's team in the first match and lost 0-3, in the second match, the Vietnamese women's team lost 0-2 to Portugal and in the final match, we lost to the Netherlands with a score of 0-7.

Each player has tried their best, but that is not enough... VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan said it right. Each player must learn from their own experience. If we are weak in something, we must practice more. The Vietnamese women's team is still weak in many aspects, including technical and tactical aspects. I hope that after this tournament, you will improve yourself, especially the young players. You are the future of women's football in our country.

Even in Southeast Asia, we have to strive even more. Hopefully, we will continue to participate in the 2027 Women's World Cup. After this tournament, we still have tasks at the ASIAD and the 2024 Olympic qualifiers. After the break, the team will regroup. I hope you will maintain your fighting spirit and make efforts for the next stage," coach Mai Duc Chung emphasized.
