The owner of Phuong Bread Production Facility (No. 2B Phan Chau Trinh, Minh An Ward, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province) has sent a letter of apology to customers. This letter was posted on Phuong Bread Shop’s Fanpage, on the personal Facebook page of Ms. Truong Thi Phuong – the facility’s owner and was sent to reporters via social networking applications.

At the beginning of the letter, the owner of Phuong bakery apologized for the delay (slow apology - PV) and said that in recent days, the food poisoning incident related to Phuong bakery has affected the health, spirit and daily life of customers. "This is our oversight in the process of controlling the import of raw materials, as well as not ensuring the quality before delivering to customers" - the owner of Phuong bakery admitted.
According to this bakery, they are currently waiting for test results and have worked with the authorities to verify the specific cause and implement remedial measures. "Our family representatives also visited, encouraged and eased the pain of customers who have been and are being treated at hospitals. At the same time, we continue to record customers' feedback related to this incident via phone number: 0905743773" - the letter said.

Next, the owner of Phuong bakery once again apologized to customers, hoping that this apology would be accepted and supported by customers for the establishment with 34 years of experience in the bakery business in Hoi An.
"This time, with the permission of the authorities after overcoming the consequences and being allowed to reopen. I pledge to bring the best and safest bread products to serve customers and hope that this time I will not disappoint you. As reported by the Lao Dong Newspaper, from around 8am on September 11, some residents and tourists ate bread (pâté, pork belly, meatballs, raw vegetables, fresh egg sauce, pickles, Vietnamese coriander, lettuce, pickled papaya, pork sausage) bought at Phuong Bread Shop. At around 11am on the same day, some people showed symptoms of high fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, and prolonged loose stools. At least 150 cases of food poisoning after eating bread went to medical facilities for hospitalization and treatment.
