No increase in service prices at Tuan Chau and Ha Long international passenger ports from April 1

In response to the proposal of Tuan Chau International Passenger Port Joint Stock Company and Ha Long Sun Company Limited to increase service prices through Tuan Chau International Passenger Port and Ha Long International Passenger Port from April 1, 2024, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, on March 18, the Department of Transport chaired and coordinated with the Department of Finance, Department of Tourism , and Ha Long Bay Management Board to organize a meeting between relevant parties including the Ha Long Tourist Boat Association and representatives of these businesses.

Based on the content agreed at the meeting, on March 20, the Department of Transport issued Document No. 1348/SGTVT-KHTC dated March 20, 2024 requesting Tuan Chau International Passenger Port Joint Stock Company and Ha Long Sun Company Limited to temporarily suspend adjusting service prices through Tuan Chau International Passenger Port and Ha Long International Passenger Port from April 1, 2024.

At the same time, Tuan Chau International Passenger Port Joint Stock Company and Ha Long Sun Company Limited will soon organize a meeting to discuss and reach an agreement with the Ha Long Tourist Boat Association and related units, as a basis for rebuilding the plan to collect service fees through the passenger port and price declaration documents on the principle that the adjustment of the collection level must have a clear, specific cause and basis and have a suitable adjustment roadmap, avoiding negative impacts on the general socio -economic development of the province.

Price declaration documents must be sent to the Department of Transport before March 25, 2024.
