The ceremony took place on October 17 and 18 (26 and 27 of the 8th lunar month), with incense burning and offering activities, traditional rituals held according to annual traditional rituals at locations such as Nguyen Trung Truc Temple, Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park. In particular, at 8:00 p.m. on October 17, the opening art program of the festival took place in front of the Monument Temple for Heroes, Martyrs and People with Merits of the Province, the Northwest Sea Reclamation Urban Area, Rach Gia Ward. The program was broadcast live on An Giang Provincial Newspaper and Radio - Television and rebroadcast on a number of stations in the Mekong Delta region.
The festival takes place over 3 weeks, before, during and after the festival. Starting from October 1 to October 25, with many cultural, artistic and sports activities; displaying and introducing commercial products, OCOP products of the province; fair; lion - unicorn - dragon performances; lantern festival to pray for national peace and prosperity... The series of activities of the festival aim to serve the entertainment needs of people when participating in the festival.

- Ms. Le Thi Pha Ca: The historical and cultural relic of Nguyen Trung Truc's tomb and communal house in Rach Gia ward and the traditional festival commemorating the sacrifice of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc have a history of more than 100 years. Every year, the relic welcomes 2-3 million visitors from all over the country, and is a special spiritual and cultural tourist destination of the province.
In 2023, the Nguyen Trung Truc Communal House Festival - Rach Gia was included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is not only the pride of the people of An Giang province but also contributes practically to preserving the diversity of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage. This is also a favorable condition for domestic and international friends to know more about the cultural beauty, people and land of An Giang.
The festival contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism among the people, especially the young generation, and affirms and promotes the role of the people in the activities of the festival. The festival aims to preserve and promote traditional cultural values associated with socio-economic development.
