Carefully prepare and solemnly organize the 1st Government Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term

On the morning of October 9, in Hanoi, the Government Office held a press conference to inform about the preparation and organization of the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Also attending the press conference were members of the Party Central Committee, Secretaries of affiliated Party Committees; and representatives of leaders of Central Committees, Ministries and branches.

Announcing the main contents of the preparation and organization of the Congress, Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Government Spokesperson said:

The first Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term is the first Congress of the Government Party Committee under the new organizational model, taking place in the context that the entire Party, people and army are striving and determined to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals for 2025; competing to achieve achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Regarding the results of the Party Congresses at all levels under the Government Party Committee, implementing Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Government Party Committee has led and directed the Party Committees under the organization. Successfully organize party congresses at all levels and congresses of 51 affiliated party committees for the 2025-2030 term, ensuring progress as required.

The first Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030, was held for 2 days, from October 12-13 at the National Convention Center, No. 57 Pham Hung Street, Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi Capital.

The main content of the Congress includes two parts: (1) Summarizing and evaluating the results of the 2020-2025 term, reviewing the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; determining the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; (2) Discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The first Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030, has the theme: "Building a clean and strong Government Party Committee; solidarity, exemplary leadership in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; accelerating breakthroughs, developing the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising up, prosperity, civilization, prosperity, and happiness".

The Congress was attended by 453 delegates (including 60 ex-officio delegates, 157 officially appointed delegates and 236 elected delegates), representing over 209,000 party members from 2,211 grassroots party organizations in the entire Government Party Committee.

There are expected to be about 120 guest delegates. The Government Party Committee respectfully invites General Secretary To Lam to attend and give a speech at the Congress; key leaders, Politburo members, Secretariat members; leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; former leaders of the Government; leaders of Central Committees and agencies; representatives of affiliated Party Committees...

Regarding the work of drafting documents, the draft documents submitted to the Congress were drafted seriously, methodically, scientifically, intellectually, democratically and in accordance with regulations, including: (1) Political report; (2) Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; (3) Resolution of the Congress; (4) Action program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Government Party Congress.

The draft documents of the Congress were widely consulted within the entire Party and Government; comments were sought from the Central Party Committees and agencies, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee; and the Politburo's instructions were fully and deeply absorbed at the meeting to comment on the draft documents, personnel plans, and preparations for the Congress.

Regarding the personnel of the Delegation attending the 14th National Congress of the Party, in addition to the delegates who are members of the 13th Party Central Committee currently working and participating in Party activities at the Government Party Committee as ex-officio delegates, the Government Party Committee was assigned by the Politburo 70 official delegates and 12 alternate delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party and will announce the Decision at the Congress.

Regarding the propaganda work for party congresses at all levels leading up to the first Government Party Congress, immediately after its establishment, the Government Party Committee directed its subordinate party committees to lead and direct the promotion of propaganda work on party congresses at all levels leading up to the Government Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress; directed the issuance of guidelines for propaganda for party congresses at all levels, propagandizing major topics and key contents from now until the 14th National Party Congress, and issuing monthly propaganda guidelines.

The Government Party Committee has directed to step up propaganda to carry out the peak emulation campaign to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. The press agencies of the affiliated Party Committees have opened special pages and columns to promote propaganda on the results of the Party Congresses at all levels; preparing to step up propaganda before, during and after the Government Party Congress.

On the occasion of the Congress, the Government Party Committee directed the organization of many important and meaningful activities, including: (1) The Government Party delegation visited the Mausoleum to pay respect to President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate the heroic martyrs before the opening session of the Congress. (2) Photo exhibition on achievements and results of the 2021-2025 term of the affiliated Party Committees; (3) Exhibition of achievements in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; (4) Exhibition of achievements in economic, cultural and social development; (5) Other activities on the sidelines to serve the Congress.
