Due to the impact of storm No. 10 (named Bualoi), to ensure reservoir safety and flood prevention, the Provincial Civil Defense Command needs to prepare a plan to ensure safety when Tuyen Quang reservoir discharges floodwater.

Information from Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company, at 7:00 a.m. on September 29, 2025, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang Lake was 118.66 m; the downstream water level was 50.18 m; the water flow to the lake was 965 m3/s; the flow out was 580 m3/s, the Plant was generating electricity with 3 generators at maximum. According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on September 29 and 30, the province will have moderate and heavy rain; after the rain, it will tend to decrease rapidly. The flow to Tuyen Quang reservoir fluctuated and increased from September 29 to September 30, then decreased.

Authorities check flood and storm prevention work on waterway vehicles.

From September 30 to October 1, the largest flow to the lake is forecasted to be 3,000 m3/s. With the forecasted water flow, Tuyen Quang Lake may have to discharge flood control to ensure the safety of the project. To ensure the safety of the downstream area of ​​the hydroelectric reservoir, the Provincial Civil Defense Command requests: People's Committees of communes and wards notify people downstream of the project to proactively prepare plans to ensure the safety of people and property when Tuyen Quang Lake discharges floodwater. Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company promptly announces the flood discharge schedule when there is a telegram from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment .
