Putting into use 11 culverts under the eastern dike of Hai Phong

The completion and putting into use of culverts under the dike contributes to improving the operational capacity of drainage and water regulation for production and natural disaster prevention.

Dong Ngu culvert on the Luoc River dike, Vinh Thinh commune has just been newly invested in construction.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Hai Phong has completed and put into use 11 culverts under the dike. These are the culverts in Component Project No. 8: urgent treatment of weak culverts under the dike of Hai Phong city, in the eastern area of ​​the city.

The works include: Dong Ngu, Dong Chua, Trung Am, Thien Bong, Ha Phuong culverts (formerly Vinh Bao district), Dong, Bac Phong culverts (formerly Tien Lang district), Xich Tho culvert (formerly An Duong district), Lam Hoa culvert (formerly Thuy Nguyen district), EC culvert (formerly Do Son district) and Ngu Doan culvert (formerly Kien Thuy district).

The completion and putting into use of the above sluices contributes to improving the operational capacity of flood drainage, regulating water for production, and effectively implementing natural disaster prevention work.

The eastern part of the city still has about 23 important culverts under the dike that need upgrading and renovation. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is proposing that the city allocate resources to do this in the coming period.
