Implementing the Vietnam Logistics Services Development Strategy for the period 2025-2035

On the afternoon of November 21, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held an online conference to deploy the Vietnam Logistics Services Development Strategy for the period 2025-2035, with a vision to 2050. The logistics service development strategy for the 2025-2035 period targets a growth rate of 12-15% per year, raising the proportion of the logistics industry to 5-7% of GDP. By 2035, the proportion of businesses outsourcing services will reach 70-80%, and logistics costs will decrease to 12-15% of GDP.

Vietnam will build at least 5 modern logistics centers and develop high-quality human resources with 70% of the workforce receiving specialized training. The logistics industry is moving towards digital transformation and greening, contributing to reducing emissions. By 2050, the strategy expects to increase the proportion of added value in the logistics industry to 7-9% of GDP, develop 10 modern international centers, and have 100% of businesses apply digital transformation.

At the same time, improve transport infrastructure, e-commerce and investment environment to enhance competitiveness, making Vietnam an important international logistics center.
