English Speech Final 'Ambassador of Civilization'

The 'Summer 2025 Speech & Costume Contest' with the theme 'Civilized Ambassador - Transform and Shine' ended the summer of hundreds of VMG English students with an emotional language and cultural party.

The event took place in a bustling atmosphere with more than 500 students, parents and guests, becoming the most memorable milestone of this summer.

Dramatic finale

'VMG Civilization Ambassadors Contest' is a contest for all students across the VMG system. After 3 intense rounds, the 10 best teams entered the final night with a total prize value of up to 200 million VND.

Each team represents a prominent civilization, delivering fluent English speeches combined with makeup and stage performances.

Throughout the competition, the teams led the audience on a journey back in time, reliving the glorious times of mankind.

From the grandeur of Rome and Greece with brave warriors and powerful gods, to the beauty of the East through ancient Chinese colors and the proud origin of Lac Viet.

The climax of the competition night belonged to the Angkor Champions team (VMG Dai Phuoc), when they skillfully recreated the mystery and eternal power of the Angkor civilization, completely conquering the audience and the judges to win the championship and a total prize worth 25 million VND.

The competition challenges students to be more creative: English speaking combined with cosplay and performing arts to tell the cultural and historical story of the civilization they represent.

The performances are the result of many weeks of practice, not only honing English skills but also testing stage presence, teamwork, content organization and performance coordination.

Pham Nguyen Hoai An, a member of the Lac Viet Warriors team (VMG Long Khanh), shared: "At first, I was quite worried because I had to speak English in front of a crowd and coordinate the acting. But thanks to the support of teachers and friends, I became much more confident.

I learned how to work in a team, come up with ideas and express my feelings in English. This is an experience I will never forget."

From classroom to stage

The "Civilization Ambassador" contest is the highlight of the VMG Summer School 2025 program, lasting 8 weeks from June to August at more than 10 VMG facilities in Dong Nai .

With a flexible boarding model, students learn 100% in English, combined with Project-Based Learning and STEAM methods.

The children participated in projects such as recreating ancient wonders, doing science experiments, creating cultural models...

All are aimed at helping children 'live' in the language, understand the culture and apply English in real-life contexts.

Sharing about the significance of the event, Mr. Pham Thanh Tuan - CEO of VMG's business and professional division - said: "We want to create an environment where English becomes the key to unlocking knowledge, confidence and global thinking.

The contest is the culmination of a summer journey - where students can both learn and experience, gain a deeper understanding of civilizations, and importantly, hone their presentation, creativity, critical thinking and teamwork skills."

Within the framework of the program, VMG Vietnam-USA English held a closing ceremony and awarded certificates of completion of the summer course to nearly 300 students, witnessed by many parents - concluding a brilliant summer, full of inspiration and memorable memories.

With a summer immersed in language and culture, VMG hopes that the competition is not only a playground, but also a journey for children to 'live' with knowledge, become a part of the culture, and inspire love and respect for all cultures in the world.
