On September 26, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice President To Thi Bich Chau received support from the Ministry of Health in the amount of more than 374.4 million VND; the Korean Small and Medium Enterprises Association (KBIZ) in the amount of 1 billion VND; the Vietnamese labor community in Cyprus in the amount of 120 million VND; KB Kookmin Bank, Hanoi branch and Ho Chi Minh City branch in the amount of 900 million VND; the Vietnam Association of Supporting Industries in Vietnam in the amount of 350 million VND; the Vietnamese community in Gardelegen - Salzwedel and surrounding areas (Germany) in the amount of 68 million VND; the Vietnam Publishing Association in the amount of 500 million VND; and the Bitexco Group in the amount of 1.1 billion VND.
On the same day, Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy received support from the Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) in the amount of VND 500 million; AstraZeneca Vietnam Company Limited in the amount of VND 1.2 billion.
Directly presenting the donation of 1.2 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Mr. Atul Tandon, General Director of AstraZeneca Vietnam Co., Ltd. expressed his sincere sympathy to the Vietnamese people who have been and are being affected by storm No. 3.
“I come from India, a country that is also heavily affected by natural disasters every year. Therefore, I deeply understand and share the losses that the Vietnamese people are suffering after Typhoon Yagi passed.
The company's contribution is very small compared to the damage that people have suffered due to natural disasters, but it demonstrates our commitment to always accompany the Government and people of Vietnam in sustainable development of health and stabilizing people's lives," said Mr. Atul Tandon.
The General Director of AstraZeneca Vietnam also emphasized his confidence in the coordination and allocation of support resources from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. “We cannot change the past, but we can change the future by providing maximum support to people affected by the storm by quickly rebuilding infrastructure, helping them stabilize their lives and restore production as quickly as possible. We strongly believe and hope that this support source will be allocated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front as quickly and promptly as possible to the people,” said Mr. Atul Tandon.
Receiving the donations from domestic and foreign agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee, on behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President To Thi Bich Chau affirmed that this source of funding does not only stop at material value but also carries great spiritual value, contributing more motivation for people in flood-affected areas to soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and restore production and business.
Mr. Kim Hyun Rae - Director of KB Kookmin Bank - Hanoi Branch said: "After 5 years of establishment and operation in Vietnam, just like in Korea, businesses always demonstrate social responsibility in helping the community overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
We wish to contribute a part to help the Vietnamese people overcome the consequences of storm No. 3. Although our contribution is not large, we hope to help people affected by storms and floods have more funds, quickly rebuild their houses, stabilize production and return to life as before the storm occurred.
Vice President To Thi Bich Chau pledged that this donation will be promptly allocated by the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to the Relief Mobilization Committees of provinces and cities so that resources can reach the people urgently, in accordance with the law, bringing the best results to support and help people in areas heavily affected by storm No. 3.
Also on September 26, Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh, Deputy Chief of Office of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, received support from Vietnam Suzuki Company Limited of more than 247.1 million VND; Sohaco Pharmaceutical and Trading Group Joint Stock Company of 500 million VND; Cooplus Company Limited of 50 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Chi, Head of the Ethnic Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, received support from the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) in the amount of more than 658.3 million VND.
Sending his deepest condolences to the victims affected by storm No. 3, Mr. Hidetoshi Aoki, Director of Suzuki Vietnam Co., Ltd. shared: “Through following information on the media, we know that the recent storm Yagi not only caused human losses but also greatly affected the lives of the Vietnamese people. We hope that this money will be transferred to the families of the victims who suffered losses after the recent storm Yagi to soon overcome difficulties. Hopefully, recovery will return soon.”
