The construction progress is currently 60%. According to plan, the entire project will be completed and put into use in December 2026, with a capacity of 2,500 great-grandfather pigs.

According to Mr. Vu Manh Hung, the project previously encountered some difficulties during implementation, and progress was slower than expected. After receiving attention from management agencies, the project completed legal procedures to start construction on May 10.

In addition to the farm project, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hieu, Director of External Relations of De Heus Vietnam, also shared about the plan of the De Heus - Hung Nhon joint venture to invest in the project of researching and developing a raw material area for producing standard animal feed associated with the cooperative model in the Central Highlands region.

Ensuring corn supply is not only for the livestock industry but also a sustainable development strategy to enhance food security and reduce dependence on imports, especially in the context of increasing domestic and global demand.

Gia Lai, with its large agricultural land area and favorable climate, is considered an ideal location for growing crops to serve this need.

In the immediate future, we will cooperate with the Dutch Cooperative Development Organization (Agriterra) to build a corn area for animal feed, based on the development of cooperatives in the three provinces of Dak Lak , Gia Lai and Kon Tum, " Mr. Nguyen Quang Hieu shared with the leaders of Gia Lai province, at the same time stating that the combination of these projects will maximize the strengths and contribute to the socio-economic development of Gia Lai province.

Evaluating the project, Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that the DHN Gia Lai High-Tech Livestock Farm has a unique nature, not simply a project for raising and producing breeding pigs. The project's goal is also to promote the overall development of the local industry, aiming to build a value chain and a disease-free area in Gia Lai and neighboring areas.

In particular, the project contributes to creating more jobs for local people and connecting society to improve the quality of life of local people, being a model of modern livestock farming that is sustainable, effective and environmentally friendly, ” said Mr. Rah Lan Chung.

Besides the project in Gia Lai, this investor also has the DHN Dak Lak High-Tech Agricultural Complex project with 200 hectares, total investment capital of 66 million USD (about 1,500 billion VND).

This is the first high-tech agricultural project complex in the DHN High-tech Agricultural Complex project series, jointly implemented by De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group in the Central Highlands.

In Lam Dong, the joint venture also has 3 chicken farming projects with a scale of 30 hectares, total investment capital of nearly 350 billion VND.

Once completed, the DHN project chain will turn the Central Highlands into a disease-free livestock farming area, producing high-quality agricultural products in a closed chain.

Estimated revenue of DHN's projects in the Central Highlands will reach 2 billion USD by 2030.

According to Mr. Vu Manh Hung, the DHN joint venture is also a highlight for the friendly relationship between Vietnam and the Netherlands.

In 2022, when the two groups signed a memorandum of understanding on investment cooperation in the Netherlands, it was witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. In particular, the project chain also contributed to shaping the Central Highlands into a center for supplying breeding pigs and developing high-tech livestock models in Vietnam and Asia.

The strength of the DHN project chain is the application of 100% high technology according to international standards of the Netherlands; using grid-connected solar power systems, using 30% clean electricity, reducing a large amount of CO2 emissions.

The project applies environmentally friendly and energy-saving measures in organic farming and livestock farming that meet the standards and technical regulations of Vietnam and specialized international organizations, " said Mr. Vu Manh Hung.
