Emergency blood donation program "Gia Tran Red Drops"

Responding to the Voluntary Blood Donation movement launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, on the morning of July 27, Gia Tran commune coordinated with the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Ninh Binh province and the Provincial Red Cross Society to organize the emergency blood donation program "Gia Tran Red Drops".

Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Pham Thi Phuong Hanh, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Health ; representatives of the Provincial Red Cross Society, leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Gia Tran commune.

Clearly identifying the importance of donating blood to save lives “A drop of blood given – a life saved”, the emergency blood donation program “Giọt hồng Gia Tran” has attracted over 500 volunteers who are cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, youth union members and people of Gia Tran commune to participate. This is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and responsibility towards the community, contributing to promoting the voluntary blood donation movement in the area to develop more and more.

The blood collected in Gia Tran commune was received by the Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment, bringing life to patients in urgent need of blood.
