
The program is expected to have the participation of representatives of the Party and State leaders, leaders of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations , departments, ministries, branches, the Vietnam-US Association, research institutes, and universities. On the US side, the event is expected to have the participation of a number of US businesses, associations, non-governmental organizations in Vietnam and a number of US organizations and individuals who are partners of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-US Association.
The 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-US Friendship Association is part of a series of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations. The event contributes to the State's diplomacy in consistently implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace , friendship, cooperation and development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations, affirming Vietnam's guidelines, policies and viewpoints in developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development with the United States, making practical contributions to the development goals in the new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
This is also an opportunity for members, partners and those interested in Vietnam-US people-to-people exchange to meet, reminisce about history, share about the achievements in the relationship between the two countries and exchange ideas to promote the effectiveness of operations and the role of the Vietnam-US Association in particular and the Vietnam-US people-to-people exchange channel in general, contributing to the development of better relations between the two countries in the future.
At the Anniversary Ceremony, the audience will enjoy a special concert program "Connecting Vietnamese-American Melodies" with the participation of famous artists from the two countries with a carefully selected repertoire. This is a rare occasion for Vietnamese audiences to welcome the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra under the direction of international conductor Henry Cheng with the participation of pianist Maxim Lando, divo Tung Duong; artists Mikaela Ayira, Duong Duc Hai, clarinetist Tran Khanh Quang.
