SURGICAL PROGRAM FOR DISABLED CHILDREN IN DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES IN LANG SON PROVINCE IN 2025

Pursuant to Agreement No. 3201/SYT-TTII, dated September 12, 2025 between the Department of Health of Lang Son province and Center II - Directly supporting children with disabilities, under the Vietnam Association for the Relief of Disabled Children, agreed on the coordination in implementing the Training Program to identify the needs of children with disabilities; screening and surgery for children with disabilities in difficult circumstances in Lang Son province in 2025.

On the morning of October 20, 2025, at Lang Son General Hospital, the Department of Health held the opening ceremony of the Surgery Program for disabled children in difficult circumstances in Lang Son province in 2025. Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Phan Lac Hoai Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Health; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors, along with a team of experts, doctors, some sponsors and disabled children in difficult circumstances in communes and wards in the province.

Mr. Phan Lac Hoai Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, spoke at the opening ceremony.

On the opening day of the program, 48 children with congenital malformations of the face, limbs, and genitals were admitted to the hospital for surgery. It is expected that during this period, from now until October 24, more than 50 children will receive free surgery.

The surgery program for disabled children in difficult circumstances not only demonstrates the concern of all levels, sectors and the whole society for children, contributing to providing free surgery opportunities for disadvantaged children, but also spreading the message of love, sharing, compassion and community responsibility for the future generations of the country.
