Statistics from the University of Education High School for the Gifted show that 5,678 candidates registered for the 10th grade exam this year.
In particular, the English major leads in the number of applications with 1,602 applications. With a quota of 70, the competition ratio of this major is approximately 1/22.9, meaning that out of about 23 students taking the exam, only 1 student is admitted.
The second most competitive class is IT with 1/19.1. This class has 670 students registered and only accepts 35 students.
The math block is in the group with the lowest competition ratio, about 1 to 10. There are 662 applications, the quota is 70.

At the High School for Natural Sciences , the total number of candidates registering for the 10th grade entrance exam is about 3,000. The specialized block with the most candidates registering is IT with 855 students, while the quota is 105. The competition ratio for IT majors at this school is 1/8.1.
The math block ranked next with a competition ratio of 1/5.7. The total number of candidates applying for the math block was 603.
Biology block has the lowest competition ratio of 1/3.9.
This year, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences recruits 525 students for 5 specialized blocks, each block has 105 students. The exam will take place on June 1-2.
Meanwhile, the University of Education High School for the Gifted only recruits 420 students for 8 specialized groups. The specialized groups of math, literature, English and chemistry have 70 students each. The specialized groups of informatics, physics, biology and geography have 35 students each. The exam is scheduled for June 4-5.
