Hanoi Police Club in the same group with Buriram United at Southeast Asia Cup C1

(Dan Tri) - The draw results of the 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Cup C1 put the two teams that reached the finals last season, Buriram United (Thailand) and Hanoi Police Club (CAHN), in the same group.

The draw ceremony for the group stage of the new Southeast Asian Cup C1 season took place early this afternoon (July 4).

Accordingly, Group A includes defending champions Buriram United, Pathum United (Thailand), Selangor (Malaysia), Tampines Rovers (Malaysia), defending runner-up CAHN Club and the winner of the play-off match between Kasuka (Brunei) and Herb Cebu (Philippines).

Group B includes Bangkok United (Thailand), Johor Darul Tazim (Malaysia), Nam Dinh , Svay Rieng (Cambodia), Lion City Sailors (Singapore) and the winner of the play-off match between Erza FC (Laos) and Shan United (Myanmar).

There are a total of 14 teams participating in the tournament next season, of which 10 will go straight to the group stage and 4 teams will have to compete for a ticket through play-off matches.

The 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Cup is getting tense early, as champions Buriram United and runners-up CAHN clash in the group stage.

In addition to CAHN Club and Buriram United, other teams considered to be championship candidates include the current V-League champion Nam Dinh and the traditional Malaysian team Johor Darul Tazim.

In addition, last season's AFC Champions League 2 runner-up Lion City Sailors (Singapore) and AFC Challenge League runner-up Svay Rieng (Cambodia) are unknowns of the tournament.

The 2025-2026 Southeast Asian Cup will start in early August this year and last until the end of May 2026.
