HAGL will pay tribute to Minh Vuong in the final match of the season!
The home match at Pleiku against Quang Nam Club in round 26 of the V-League on June 22 will be Tran Minh Vuong's last match in the HAGL shirt. In fact, Minh Vuong had planned to leave HAGL since the middle of this season, but because of his affection for the place that trained him and his deep gratitude to Mr. Duc, he decided to stay until the end of the V-League 2024 - 2025. The mountain town team is almost certain to stay in the league, if there are no big surprises in the last 2 matches of the season. And for that reason, HAGL has planned to hold a ceremony to honor and say goodbye to him on June 22. Minh Vuong officially left HAGL, the talented generation of the first course of the HAGL JMG Football Academy is almost gone.
Talented players Cong Phuong, Tuan Anh, Xuan Truong, Van Toan, Hong Duy and now Minh Vuong have left the mountain town of Pleiku one after another. They left to seek success in their careers, to seek titles at the national level, as Vu Van Thanh achieved with the Hanoi Police Club; Van Toan, Tuan Anh, Hong Duy achieved with the Nam Dinh Club, or simply they left so they wouldn't have to "spend their youth trying to stay in the league", as Minh Vuong himself exclaimed a few years ago.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HAGL?
HAGL's playing style has changed significantly in recent years. In particular, under Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh, HAGL plays more pragmatically, leaning more towards muscle. Therefore, "technicians" like Minh Vuong have less and less room to perform. HAGL now plays more on the defensive counter-attack, rather than the ball control and direct attack style of the past. They often deploy the ball by sending long passes up to the forwards to race against the opponent's defense. The audience has rarely seen small coordination, passing back and forth between midfielders and strikers. In that style of play, the role of organizing midfielders like Minh Vuong has less and less room to be used.

Not only has the playing style changed, but the training style of HAGL's young players is also very different from the early days of the HAGL JMG Football Academy. The most outstanding products of the HAGL youth training center in recent times are mostly defensive players, such as goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien, central defenders Pham Ly Duc, Dinh Quang Kiet, or Dung Quang Nho, and there are no attacking talents who play with a technical bent like Cong Phuong, Tuan Anh, Minh Vuong or Xuan Truong.
By parting with Minh Vuong, HAGL may have officially ended its "golden era". They will enter a new phase: the talent of the past may be a thing of the past, and pragmatism will gradually take over. Do those who love HAGL have any regrets?
